So you've seen drive to survive and want to be out on the track and part of the action...now is your chance to apply ! Applications are now open to join the Formula 1 Moët & Chandon Australian Grand Prix 2027. Applications will close 5pm (AEST) Monday, 19th October 2026 with no exceptions so make sure you get your application in ASAP.  There are opportunities to join the medical team for Doctors, Nurses, Paramedics and sometimes a few lucky medical students. Experience in Crit Care or prehospital is preferred but not essential.

• Working with Children Check (which you should have if you're medical!)

• Any previous medical & motorsport experience (Don't worry if its your first time, we'll show you the ropes, but preference will be given to those with previous experience. Make sure you keep an eye out for February WSBK applications later in the year head over to Team Medical Australia's site to check out some more opportunities to gain experience trackside. There are still a few supercars and sandown events to go this year)

• If you have a MA officials licence or a Motorcycling one have the number. Otherwise before applying you will need to apply for a Motorsport Australia licence of which the process only takes 30 minutes. Important information for Officials:

Formula 1 Moët & Chandon Australian Grand Prix 2027

Dear Officials, 

Please carefully read this email. 

This email contains information regarding applying to be a Race Official (also known as Marshal) at the Formula 1 Moët & Chandon Australian Grand Prix 2027. Applications will close 5pm (AEST) Monday, 19th October 2026. NO APPLICATIONS will be accepted after applications close. 

The event dates are 1st - 4th April 2027. All officials who wish to volunteer as a Race Official at the event will be required to submit a detailed application. 

We also require officials to assist with a Track Day on Wednesday 31st March 2027. If you are able to assist please check the option on your application. If not, please leave blank (please note this does not impact on the result of your application for the AGP).

Below is a list of some of the key requirements that all officials MUST agree and adhere to before applying to be a Race Official:

• All Officials must complete the application in full, by the deadline.

• All Officials MUST be available and attend ALL 4 days of the event (NOexceptions). 

• All applications must be submitted using the Motorsport Australia Better Impact application system and portal. 

• All applicants must have a current Motorsport Australia Officials Licence (or relevant licence with overseas ASN with a Letter of Approval), at the time of application. Applications without this information may not be accepted.

• Your application does not guarantee your selection, we advise against making non-refundable travel and accommodation plans until you have received confirmation that you have been accepted as an official.

• All Australian Residents (excl. WA) must meet Working with Children requirements at the time of application. This will require proof of a WWCC, teacher registration, or police exemption. Applications without this information will not be accepted.

• Lunches - Dietary specific requirements will be limited. For example, plant-based options etc. will not be available.

• A separate application form for parking will be emailed to officials who register interest in their application closer to the event. 

• Unsuccessful applicants will be advised of the application outcome only.

• Applicants acknowledge this is a volunteer position and that they will need to agree to the volunteer terms and conditions.

Applications will strictly close 5pm (AEST) Monday, 19th October 2026. All candidates will be contacted by late November 2026 to notify them of the outcome of their application.

Priority for acceptance will be given to officials in the following order:

• Officials that attend other Motorsport Events throughout the year (please ensure you keep your profile up to date with all the events you attend)

• Officials that have previously attend the Australian Grand Prix but do not attend other events throughout the year.

• New Officials will no prior Motorsport experience.

Please ensure you provide information on ALL your previous experience/s as a Motorsport Official. Information provided in your application is taken into consideration when making final decisions for allocations and roles.
